Welcome to my humble blog...Jennifer and I met while we worked at Home Depot back in 1998. We were married in 2003, and now I am all alone at the Depot. We love our two boys, Thomas and Joshua, and our other two kids, Baby Girl (Lab mix) and T.J. (Chow/Shep Mix). There is no telling what you might find on here. It's all very random. I earned a Master's of Divinity degree (M. Div.) from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN, and did some additional work at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Jennifer is a stay at home mom and the Principal, Teacher, and Administrator of Reeder Christian Academy for our two boys. Since 2008, we have lived in Tyronza, Arkansas, where I am the Pastor at Barton Chapel Baptist Church.

Enter your email address and I'll let you know when I post something new. (What a great idea!)

"Big Daddy" What?

It was a simple, one time joke. After we found out Jenn was pregnant, I jokingly told her that from now on, she should call me "Big Daddy." (pronounced "Daddeh") this is an audio post - click to play
I continued the fun at work when I told my HR manager about it, then added on the the best Elvis voice I could, "Thankyuu. . . Thankyuuu vereh much. . . " this is an audio post - click to play
and a little Joey Tribiani "How Youuuuu Doin?" this is an audio post - click to play
And that was the end. Next thing I know, "Kim Reeder a.k.a. 'Big Daddy'" ends up on the board in the manager's office and random associates start walking by me in the aisle, "What's up 'Big Daddeh?'" And it's all over from there. Can't say I'm surprised. Or that I mind. In fact, It's fun. But it just goes to prove that old saying, "When you spit into the wind, don't be surprised if you get wet." That's not exactly an old saying, but you get the point.
